About

My name is Jamiu Adam, I am a teacher and an educator with vast teaching experience at various levels of education.

My involvement in virtual teaching started while I was undergoing my Masters Programme. During that stage, I was both student and at times facilitator as the case may be. I was then familiar with the digital tool Skype.

As observed so far during my involvement on this platform, Virtual teaching is a form of teaching where the teachers or facilitators and the learners are separated physically in space, time or even both but never lost the opportunity of interacting which is made possible via the computer or smartphone screen. It is also a software based teaching which requires the teacher to be versatile with the knowledge of the existing technology.

As a digital teacher, I have been opportune to have opportunities in running a virtual classes including both kids and adults.

In running my virtual teachings, I make use of digital tools like the email, Whatsapp, zoom cloud meeting Google Classroom applications, recorded videos and audios.

My experience with the Whatsapp was quite challenging as so many didn't believe Whatsapp can produce a successful with undiluted fun lesson. Using thus digital tool requires a lot of skills in order to achieve effective lessons and so far, I have conducted numerous classes via this platform with no itch. Moreso, I have been able to plant a seed of conviction in the heart of many regarding the use of this digital tool called Whatsapp.
